With mortgage rates recently dropping to the lowest rate since September of 2022 and an abundant supply of new Fischer Homes across all price points and designs, now is one of the best times in years to buy a new construction home in the metro Atlanta area.

The Federal Reserve's half-point federal funds rate cut last Wednesday was even larger than some economists had been predicting.
Earlier this year, a buyer with a $2,500 monthly payment could have afforded a $450,000 home. Yet with today's rates, that same payment can put a buyer in a $625,000 home.
Fischer Homes, through its affiliate partner, Victory Mortgage, is also offering complimentary three-year refinancing. If rates continue to drop, buyers will receive even lower payments without having to wait.
"Rates should not be an obstacle to buying a home," said Tara Kersting, Director of Lending at Victory Mortgage, "We are routinely seeing buyers now get into the 5% and even 4% range depending on the type of loan."
Fischer Homes anticipated the mortgage rate reduction and is prepared to meet buyer demand, said Fischer Homes President and Chief Operating Officer, Jay Smith.
"We decided to get quick move-in homes ready so that as rates dropped, we would have a supply of homes ready to meet buyer demand," Smith said. "We saw a surge of activity in August and sold three times more quick move-in homes versus this time last year. We now have more than 150 homes across all of our markets that buyers can close on and move into before the end of the year."
The overall supply of homes across the region is still significantly below where it was in 2019, and Fischer Homes is working to increase the supply of new homes for the region’s buyers.
